Shortly after the June 7 Republican primary, the press and others “discovered” several social spending programs promoted by the challenger that puts Mike Cassidy to the left of President Joe Biden and in sync with Senator Bernie Sanders on health care.
Cassidy also opposed corporations owning private residences or farmland; this would be a big problem for many farmers in Mississippi.
After blistering Facebook and Twitter comments, and once the press reported on Cassidy’s policy positions, he scrubbed his website of the controversial proposals and declared, “Based on helpful feedback from many conservatives in the 3rd District, I’ve improved my America Dream policies by focusing on lowering the tax burden for working families with children.”
Missing from the new website were any mentions of:
Yet, even after Cassidy scrubbed his website and revamped his policies, Mississippi Today notes that one was still “remarkably similar to one of President Joe Biden’s chief economic focuses…”
Michael Cassidy will say anything to get elected, and when he gets caught he tries to erase the evidence!
"Among Cassidy’s ideas are Medicare for All, stipends for married couples, and universal basic income for families with children."
"Prominent Mississippi Republicans openly mused on social media that Cassidy’s stances could result in hundreds of billions, even trillions of dollars of new government spending for welfare programs."
Michael Cassidy wants to give away your money.
He doesn't know what he's doing - he's running for Congress in the wrong State, and the wrong Party!
On June 28th, tell Michael Cassidy NO!
